Did you know that by June 2023, your municipality will be required to have a joint use and planning agreement with any school board that operates within your municipal boundary? At minimum, these agreements must establish how you work with your schools regarding shared use of facilities, funding of facilities, and planning of new or expanded school sites.
LGAA is pleased to partner with Parkland Community Planning Services to offer a free webinar on what you need to know about the upcoming legislative requirements and model agreements that may assist your municipality and school boards.
This webinar is generally designed for smaller municipalities such as towns, villages, and municipal districts and will address:
Any municipal administrator that is involved in developing or updating agreements with schools boards on shared use of facilities, planning for future school sites, or land use planning for existing school sites.
This event is open to anyone. You do not require a membership to LGAA.
A recording will be available to LGAA members after the webinar.
